Meridian Health was founded in San Francisco in 1998 by a small group of doctors who believed healthcare had become too impersonal. They set out to build a hospital where the latest medicine sits alongside old-fashioned attention — where a specialist knows your name, where your family is involved in decisions, and where prevention matters as much as treatment.
Today we are a full-service, JCI-accredited hospital of 320 beds with 45 specialists across twelve departments. We care for roughly 48,000 patients a year — and we still measure our success the same way we always have: by trust. A 4.9 out of 5 average patient rating, and relationships that span generations.
